I love the cooibooks avaliable in PDF form from this sight. I have a new S.G tablet that won't download them. I have Adobe app. Installed, have spent close to 9 hours trying to get help from Samsung techs who convenient ly drop you. I can download Google PDFs with no problems. Any ideas, apps that might help?
I download them as I don't always have access to the internet.

Thanks in advance for the help!

i do not have that device so i have not tested. can you typically download files to it? if so, have you tried to option-click on the link to the pdf file on archive.org that you want to download?

I have.
I keep thinking that I can make Adobe the default for download, just havn't found out how. Samsung reps were a wast of time. Cach has been emptied. ..Tap on the PDS link, "start download" appears, there is an arrow that appears in the upper left corner that indicates downloading.
It will show downloading for over 30min. Then, I have "download failed". That was for a 2 page report. I am starting to think this tablet is a dud.
For some reason, if it's a "Google Book" PDF, I have no problem downloading.

Don't know if you're still looking for an answer to this, but I use a download manager when I'm having trouble downloading through a browser (the one I use is ADM). I enter the direct download link into the download manager, which is a separate app from the browser. It's not a perfect solution, but it works more often than not. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer if I can.
